Steel BBs can ricochet. The shooter and everyone in the shooting area should wear safety glasses when a gun is being handled (even if it's unloaded). Remember to remove all pets from the area, as rebounding ammo can hit them, too. Never shoot steel BBs at hard objects (including metal targets) or water, as that increases the chance of ricochet. Extra pellet clips, which are the same ones used by the Crosman 760 Pumpmaster, will go a long way toward hours of non-stop shooting fun with the Crosman M4-177 combo. They'll reliably feed each pellet without a hitch. If steel BBs are your preferred projectiles, then you'll get in lots of range time before reloading, as the M4-177 has a 350-rd BB reservoir. This "Torture Tested" scope can be safely mounted on any airgun -- including spring-piston guns -- and not break. You can also mount it on a crossbow.
