The Crosman 2240XL is an upgrade over the classic 2240, which has been a staple in the air gun industry for years. One of the upgrades is a steel breech, which is sold as an aftermarket upgrade on the original 2240. The steel breech offers more stability for the barrel, thus improving accuracy. The LPA MIM rear sight can be fitted, though there is front sight. The threaded end cap allows for a muzzle brake or a moderator to be fitted. Velocities can get up to 460 fps and you are looking at about 60 shots per 12 gram CO2 cartridge.
